What about these Reds? These beautiful, mighty Reds. For the first time since Rafa Benitez’ heyday Liverpool have 5 or more world class players. This season promises to be an exciting ride with a team who have a genuine shot at the Premier League title or European success.
When thinking about who will be Liverpool’s player of the season this year there are so many possibilities. The leading contender is Mohamed Salah; the current Premier League Golden Boot holder; Players Player of the Year; Football Writers Player of the Year and top bloke.

Anything close to last season’s form and production will make him difficult to catch. His forward colleagues Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane both had great seasons but you also feel like that pair can hit another level. Will this be the season Firmino breaks 30 goals or Mane benefits from Salah being double marked?
In defense there is Virgil van Dijk who enters his first full season at Anfield. The Dutch colossus transformed the back four after arriving in January. If he kicks on he could well be the Reds’ star player come next summer.
New boys Naby Keita, Fabinho and Alisson Becker cost the club £150 million and will have high expectations. All three carry the potential to rock the Premier League in their debut seasons like Salah did last term.
